Harmony
Part 3
We see Kang on top of the highest building in Fourside, looking around in all directions.
Kang
(I can sense the disruption… Now I just need to pinpoint it.)
He looks in another direction and sees the dark storm clouds over Fiveton.
Kang
(Over there! Hm, now what town would that be?)
He takes out a map. but it blows away. He takes out a GPS instead.
Kang
(Fiveton? Right… Just need to set the destination and… There we go. Hm, better make sure travel
mode is set to teleportation this time.) Don't worry, Fiveton! I'm coming to help!
Kang runs down the side of the building to gain immense speed. Some businessmen watch from inside, completely bewildered. Right before Kang hits the bottom, he disappears in a flash. Meanwhile, back in front of the school, Picky helps Tracy up.
Picky
You okay, Trace?
Tracy
Better now… But it feels like I have a fever…
Picky
Who were you going to call?
Tracy
Ness. If Ness came here, I'm sure he could stop all this…
Lydia
Who is this Ness?
Tracy
My older brother. He already saved the world once, so…
Picky has taken out his cell phone, but is getting no bars.
Picky
I've got no reception. That time thing must be screwing up the signal.
Tracy
We'll have to try and find a landline, then… Picky! Look out!
Picky
Huh?
Picky looks over to see that his phone has grown teeth and eyes and is angrily biting at him. He throws it on the ground and steps on it.
Picky
Oh, man… That was my fourth phone this year. Mom's not going to be happy…
Tracy
I can't believe that time tear is causing all this…
Lydia
It's probably going to get worse. It might start bringing things in from other dimensions if it gets bigger.
Picky
Great, so aside from objects attacking us and probably animals losing their minds, now things are
going to come in from different dimensions? We gotta get Ness here. Let's find a phone.
They go back inside the main building. Small montage of each of the characters looking in different rooms. Lydia gets the bathroom, Tracy the cafeteria where Mom is feeding students, and Picky the janitor's closet. They give up and meet up in a hallway, where Tracy notices the library entrance. A sign is hanging above it reading "Fiveton University Library," and under it, "Yes! We have a phone!" They smile hopefully and run inside.
The lights have gone out, all is dark and quiet. The library shelves look ominous. They stare down a row and notice the phone on a table, lit from a window like it's a holy object. They begin going down the creepy aisle.
Picky
This is getting creepy.
Tracy
Why? They're just books.
Picky
I know. I don't like reading.
Tracy rolls her eyes. They go up to the phone. Tracy picks it up, puts it to her ear, and smiles. She dials Ness' number. We switch over to Threed, its circus and graveyard in sight. Zoom in on a modest looking house with a "RING RING" above it. Inside, we see Paula cooking dinner and very pregnant. She stirs with one hand and answers the phone with the other.
Paula
Hello?
Tracy
Paula? It's Tracy.
Paula
Oh, hi Tracy! Are you calling from Fiveton? Hey, did you meet Professor Spoon yet? Is he still teaching?
By the way, I finally gave in and decided to find out if the baby's going to be a boy or a girl. And guess
what, it's a—
Tracy
Sorry Paula, but we're in kind of an emergency here. Could you put Ness on?
Paula
Sure, sure. (shouting) Ness! It's Tracy!
Ness, working on his computer in a small study, picks up the phone and holds it between his head and shoulder as he types away.
Ness
Hey, sis. What's up?
We go back to the library.
Tracy
Ness, you're not going to believe this, but Fiveton is being invaded just like Onett was. We've got
possessed objects, maybe things coming in from a different dimension, and it wouldn't surprise me if
animals started going mad. We really need you down here.
Back at the study.
Ness
What?
Ness thinks about Giygas as we close up on his eye.
Ness
(Could it somehow be Giygas?)
Ness
Tracy, I'll be right down. Tracy? Are you still there?
The phone only gives a dial tone. We catch a glimpse of the team in the library fighting a horde of flying, toothed books. Ness hangs up and goes over to Paula.
Paula
Ness? What's wrong?
Ness
Something's happening in Fiveton. Tracy says it's being invaded. I've got to go down there.
Paula
Do you mean teleportation? Ness, you haven't used your powers in years! What if they don't even
work anymore? Or they're too weak to help?
Ness
Tracy hung onto a stinky jar of fly honey for me all summer once, not to mention a bike, Jeff's old broken machines, those delicious magic truffles she somehow managed to keep herself from eating…
I still owe her for all that.
Paula
I'm not going to try and stop you… She's your sister, so… I understand. Actually… if she was really in
that much danger, I'd want to come with you. But the baby…
Ness
I know. You don't want to risk using PSI now.
Emphasize the frying pan Paula is using.
Ness
And I don't think you'd be that able in combat anyway.
Paula
Ness, please be careful…
Ness
I will.

He goes over to his secret room. On the walls are several bats with plaques reading "Gutsy Bat, Legendary Bat, Cracked Bat, etc." There is also his hat and yellow backpack. He takes a bat and heads out of the door, with Paula looking worried in the window. Back in the library, the team continues their fight. Lydia blasts books away with her gun, while Picky slashes the ones that come too close and Tracy beats them down with her broom.
Lydia
This is why I only read on a Bindle. Eat hot plasma, evil books!
Picky
Gah! There's so many of them!
Tracy collapses again. Picky fights off more books and comes to her aid.
Tracy
My… my head.
The hordes of books grows thick and surrounds the heroes. Lydia's gun overheats and emits smoke as she bangs it angrily. A panel of all hope lost. Suddenly, a silver sword cuts through a whole bunch of books.
Voice
PK Thunder!
Lightning hits the books flying above everyone. They drop to the floor toasted. Everyone looks on as Kang makes his heroic introduction. He holds the sword with both hands.
GPS (at side)
You have arrived.
Lydia
Who are you?
Kang
Kang. Here to help.
Tracy
That was PSI you used!
Kang
Of course. My father taught it to me.
Tracy
Wait—you must be Prince Poo's son!
Kang
Yep, that's me! I don't know what's going on around here, but you'll be okay now that I've shown up!
Kang is suddenly attacked from behind by a book. A whole bunch gather around him and begin to fly into the air, pulling him up by his sleeves.
Kang
H-hey! What is this crap?! Put me down!
Picky
So much for the heroic entrance…
Tracy
Ugh… I… I feel something…
Picky
Tracy? What's going on with you? Are you okay?
She suddenly opens her eyes, stands up, and stares at the books.
Tracy
I… I think I can… I think I know what this power is…
Tracy throws out her hand and forms a glowing ball of energy.
Tracy
Psycho-kinetic… PK… PK Flash!
Kang
Flash?! Ahh! Not in my face!
Kang covers his eyes with his hands as the flash orbs expand and burst. The books are dazzled and fall to the ground twitching. Kang drops, gathers his sword and goes over. Tracy stares at her hands.
Tracy
It… It's true. I can use PSI…
Picky
… Tracy… You're amazing.
Tracy
Come on, let's get out of here.
They go back outside and look at the damage. A news van has pulled up and there's a hot reporter and cameraman on the scene.
Kang
Wow. That thing looks dangerous… Is that what's causing all the trouble?
Picky
Lydia, how are we supposed to close that thing?
Lydia
My father might know. If we could just find him…
Picky
Tracy, you feeling better?
Tracy
Yeah… But… I don't know the first thing about these powers.
Kang
I do. I could teach you how to use them properly.
Picky
So Ness used these kinds of powers to stop that Giygas thing… And Porky…
Tracy
Yeah…
Suddenly, the time tear expands a bit and then shrinks again. A bizarre looking creature has come out of it. The cerberus looks around with a deep growl.
Jenny Newsly
Oh my goodness! Look at this folks! Something has just come out of the mysterious object.
Picky
What is that thing? Is that something from your time, Lydia?
Lydia
Of course not! It's probably one of those dimensional creatures I told you about.
Kang
Looks tough. We should probably stay away from it.
Tracy
I think we should stay away from everything until Ness gets here…
Cop
What the heck is that?
Captain
S-shoot it!
The cops open fire, but to little affect. The creature growls angrily and jumps/runs away.
Captain
Blast! It's heading towards the zoo!
Cop
Captain, should we pursue?
Captain
… Nah. Securing this area is more important. Call animal control. Maybe they can deal with it.
Picky
You've got to be kidding me…
Tracy
Wait—it's going to the zoo? We've got to stop it!
Kang
Weren't you just the one who said we should avoid combat?
Tracy
Well, what if it goes to the zoo and eats all the animals or something? We can't let that happen!
Picky
As a vegetarian… I kind of agree with Tracy. I'm worried about the animals.
Lydia
We should chase that creature for another reason, as well. If it can navigate through the tear, it may be
useful to my father and I for getting back home.
Kang
You guys can go after it all you want. I'm not. That thing scares the heck out of me.
They all stare at Kang.
Kang
… Fine, fine… Just don't make me do all the protecting when it tries to eat you.

They all run down the street, and quickly see the zoo sign. They head on in. People are already shouting and running away from the animals, including the keepers.
Picky
Where are they all off to in such a hurry?
Lydia
Um… Look at the animals.
A quick montage of the zoo animals. They have red glowing eyes and are trying to escape.
Picky
Look! Some have already gotten free!
We look over at some lions, cornering some people. Elsewhere, a bunch of ostriches have surrounded more scared people.
Tracy
We've go help them! Come on!
Picky
But don't hurt them! Just… put them to sleep or something.
Lydia
My gun has a stun setting. I'll use that if you're so concerned about their… well being.
Kang
I'll… um, I'll put up shields to protect everyone.
A battle montage commences, make it however long it needs to be so that we end with 13 pages total. Picky lures animals with a chocolate bar, Lydia stuns animals, Kang uses shield PSI to block against the attacking animals, and Tracy dazzles animals or pushes them back with her broom. Also, people are seen running away. When most of the battling is over with, we see the cerberus creature on top of a building. Close up on its face. It lets out a howl, and more animals come running, and many of the animals that had been taken care of before spring back to life.
Lydia
It's that creature! It's controlling the animals!
Picky
Crud! There's too many!
Tracy
We've already saved everyone. Let's get out of here and close the gate behind us.
They all flee as animals charges at them. With two on each side, they close the gate. The animals crash against it and bang on it.
Lydia
That's not going to hold long…
Kang
I might be able to freeze the gate… but I need to rest first… I'm too worn out…
Lydia
I believe that evacuation is our only option. No matter how powerful your animal control force is, they
won't be able to tame all these beasts. Most of which are extinct in my time, so I lack combat information
on them…
Picky
They're not mindless, blood thirsty creatures! They're adorable little animals that need our help!
Tracy
Right now, they're possessed, Picky. And if they get out, they could destroy the entire town…
Kang
What are we supposed to do? We're all alone here!
Suddenly, a burst of light appears from down the road. A figure comes running out, very fast. Tracy looks over and waves.
Tracy
Look! Ness is here!
Ness runs past them as he tries to slow down.
Tracy
He'll save— *SMASH*
Pan over to see that Ness has run into a lamppost so hard that he's left a dent. His hair is crazy like, and he's all black.
Ness
O-ouch…
Ness falls over and hits the ground, completely out of it. Small manga-style expressions of disbelief are shown on everyone's face. Cut to a funny larger panel of all four of them carrying Ness like a log and running away from the gate being pushed against by all the animals. Ness still has a stupid expression, too.
Everyone
Let's get out of here!!!
