The first row is a family photograph, including Shigo who is holding Chipper as a younger dog. Harriet is about seven, making Winston three in this photo.
Chapter 16: Family
We see Mom looking at the photo with Dad hugging her shoulders from behind.
Dad
We really do have some great kids, Itoia…
Mom
Yes we do.
They go over to the window and watch the kids play outside in summer wear. Harriet is about eleven; back before she was a teenager and was closer to her brothers. Harriet is pulling Winston around in a wagon, but there's so much stuff in the wagon, that Matt also has to push it from behind.
Mom
None of them still have any idea what they want to be when they grow up.
Dad
Does that bother you?
Mom
Not really. I'm just a little surprised. They're each so good at something.
Dad
Maybe they just want to keep their options open, right?
Mom
I can see Harriet being a singer or dancer… Matty a writer or artist… And little Winny…
Dad
I think it's too soon to tell what Winston might be.
Mom
Well, whatever he wants to be, I'm sure he'll grow up to be strong and brave. Maybe an adventurer like
you, dear.
Dad
Oh, I'm no adventurer. I just travel with guides to places to take my pictures.
Mom
You're too modest. That's still an adventure in my eyes. Little Winny… I can see him doing something wondrous in his life.
Dad
All three of them will. Maybe they'll even do something wondrous by working together.
One last panel of the kids playing. Then cut to Matt blocking one of Winston's swords with his tripod. Harriet is using both twirler rods in an X formation to block the sword pinning her down. Winston pushes the swords down further, and the two begin to lose their grip. Then Gary sneaks in from behind and removes the helmet. Winston doesn't back down. After quickly looking over the helmet, Gary comes to a conclusion.
Gary
(The mind control device… never activated. It must've malfunctioned.)
He looks down at Winston.
Gary
(The only time we ever had control over this child… was the very first time, with the signal… Then that
evil force took control of him. But it's still our fault…)
Harriet
Help us!
Gary
Isa'liolus, containment!
Isa
Understood.
Isa floats in, and the two aliens surround Winston. They put up a PSI containment bubble that traps him inside, and then levitates him in the air between them. Winston seems mad with rage, and tries to break the bubble repeatedly with his swords as Gary and Isa speak.
Isa
Settle down, child!
Gary
He was never under our control after the first time we tapped into his mind back in your home town.
Matt
What are you saying?
Gary
Something else took hold of him, probably while his mind went blank. Something else has been using him this entire time. We've just never been able to see it until now.
It was probably following him his entire life, waiting for a moment to take control. We let this happen…
Lucas
Whatever's in that capsule… That's what is controlling him…
Sylvester
The capsule?
Delphia creates a flame on her canvas, then pushes it out into the air where it bursts and acts like a flare, lighting the whole chamber in a bright fuchsia. For the first time, the ASC is in full light. Sylvester notices the pigmask logo, and then gets a little revolted.
Matt
What's inside of it?
Lucas
… The person who ruined my village, caused my mother and brother to die, and nearly destroyed the
world…
Sylvester
The Pig King… The horrible, greedy child who made me a slave.
A panel of tension. Then Sylvester screams (he is very angry) and charges forward with his hammer.
Starface
No! Do not break it!
Sylvester slams on the capsule hard with the hammer, but nothing happens. He hits a second time, still enraged, but nothing happens.
Lucas
Don't worry about him breaking it… Outside of that dimensional attack, nothing can penetrate it.
Sylvester calms down a bit and is drawn to the window, which offers a look inside, where red and black is swirling around violently.
Lucas
Even so, something is leaking out of it…
Sylvester looks closer.
Lucas
Porky has become… something else now.
Sylvester stares inside. Suddenly, a horrible, deranged face presses again the glass, scaring the crap out of Sylvester. He returns to the others.
Gary
I just barely sense Giegue.
Isa
Yes…
Gary
Whatever is left of him is also inside.
Lucas
No. No one else went in there. He's all alone. Just like he wanted to be.
Gary
He still went inside with something else a part of him. The star-face has told us that Giegue's own mind
collapsed, and that he became an entity of unimaginable terror. If the person in there… if he had
become a slave to this… Giygas, then his mind would've likely been tainted and permanently
influenced by such a power.
Isa
How long has he been in there?
Lucas
Ten years now. All alone. Left in this place for that long…
Delphia
We have to destroy it then! Before the same thing happens to Winston!
Starface
That is impossible.
Everyone turns to Starface. At this moment, Kumatora, limping a bit but helping Duster, comes in and look around. They don't say a thing, but get near Lucas.
Starface
The being inside of there has become a far greater thing than any of you can imagine. Not even I, at
full strength, would have the power to stop it now.
Sylvester
Why not?
Starface
The power of madness and the ever growing influence of the one called Giygas has corrupted the
human in that capsule… And has become a siphon that has attracted all of the darkness of the cosmos, the negative emotions birthed from life forms, all of the hatred and the anger and the fear… All of that
which was flowing through the universe has now collected at this single place. Fortunately, it is mostly
contained for now, and only a little can seep out at a time…
Sylvester
Are you saying that what's in there is—
Starface
What most intelligent life labels as "evil," yes. In its purest form. It can never be defeated.
Harriet
Well, we're going to find a way.
Starface
Such is the mentality of most every sapient in the universe.
Starface turns to the aliens, still keeping hold on Winston.
Starface
Even your people, as advanced as you might believe yourselves to be, constantly think that you can
surpass nature itself; that everything in existence can be conquered in one way or another. It is a
foolish idea. You cannot conquer nature. Not when you yourself are a part of it.
Winston (evil text)
Enough… I've heard enough!
Everyone turns to Winston, a little surprised. Winston is calm now, but his eyes are still hollow.
Harriet
Winston spoke… But… that wasn't his voice.
Strands of evil come out of the capsule and wrap themselves around Winston, overpowering the aliens' containment and blasting them backwards.
Evil
Just look at what I've become! I am so far beyond you insects now… And yet you dare give me your
inane little titles? What was it? "Evil?" Ah ha ha… No. I am more than that now. You cannot even
comprehend me!
Harriet
S-stop it! Let Winston go!
Evil
This… this is what I've always wanted. To rid myself of this old, weak, ugly human body! To become
something far greater! The entire world—the entire universe—it will all be mine!
More strands come out wrap themselves around Winston, absorbing themselves into his body.
Matt
Winston…
Gary
If we put a containment field around the capsule that's strong enough, it should free Winston.
Starface
You will not be able to do that. That entity is feeding off of Winston. It is too powerful to contain as it is.
Gary
Then tell us what to do! If your powers don't work here, then at least give us a chance to stop this!
Delphia
I thought you didn't want to get involved with human affairs any longer.
Isa
If the entire universe is threatened, then of course we're going to be obligated to help protect it, child!
Starface
If you end the child's life, all of the entity's power that is inside of him should be destroyed. That might weaken it enough to contain.
Harriet
What?!
Matt
No… No! We're not going to hurt him!
Starface
It is the only chance you have.
Matt
No! We're not doing that!
Starface
If your brother knew the risks, I believe he would accept his fate.
Matt (crying)
No!
Starface
Then the universe is lost…
Lucas
Enough.
They turn to Lucas, now standing weakly.
Lucas
I'm not going to let them go through the same pain I did.
Harriet
Lucas…
Lucas
I lost Claus to "fate" or "destiny," or whatever you want to call it. I'm not going to let it happen again. He
deserves to live a normal life. Even if he's someone else now. There has to be a way to save Winston
and everything else, as well.
Starface
There is not. I have foreseen this.
Harriet
You also said you have the power to break fate! Maybe you're not the only thing that can do that!
Starface
You only make this all the more painful by not acting immediately…
The strands disappear into Winston, turning his eyes red. Winston takes a step forward.
Winston
So much happiness to feast upon… Now… suffer…
The aliens try to contain Winston, but he blasts out a PK Love from both hands at either side, blowing them away and hurting them. Winston then takes out both swords and attacks the group. Sylvester rushes in and blocks both swords with his hammer, but Winston pulls a sword back and attempts to stab Sylvester. But Matt slams the tripod down on the sword, pinning it to the ground for a moment. Sylvester knocks Winston away with the handle of the hammer. Sent back reeling a bit, Winston stuffs one sword under his arm and starts casting more PK Love attacks that Harriet and Matt cast shields against, while slowly backing up towards the ouroboros symbol.
Evil's Booming Voice
Free me! Free me!
Harriet
Don't let him get into the symbol!
Delphia starts casting Freeze, Thunder, and Fire spells very quickly to bombard Winston with, but Winston can touch the two swords above his head to create a white forcefield to block them with.
Sylvester
Those swords are generating a powerful shield…
Delphia takes out her bow and arrow and fires an arrow at a sword, but Winston slices it in half before it can hit.
Delphia
Someone distract him. I'll try to disarm him.
Matt and Harriet literally barrage Winston with PK Love, Songbird, Shock, and Flash, but the shield absorbs everything. Luckily, after a little bit of this, it seems to weaken a little.
Sylvester
I think it's thinning! Maybe just one more hit…
Sylvester slams down with both hands on the hammer hard, hitting the shield. The hammer plows into the shield, slowly pushing through it and shattering it. Sylvester pulls the hammer out and hits a second time, completely destroying the shield. His swords actually smoking, Winston jumps backwards and into the symbol. Before anyone can react, Winston turns around and fires a rift at the capsule.
Matt
No!
Gary, barely holding on, is up on one leg and creates his own rift.
Gary
I… I got it…
Gary fires his rift out, and it collides with Winston's just in time, causing the two to implode in a dazzling display of distortion. But Winston simply begins to power up a second one.
Evil
Free me! Now!
Matt
We have to get rid of the ouroboros!
We see that Delphia has drawn her PK Ground icon, and she then sends it into the ground itself. A huge rupture opens, splitting the symbol into two. Small gold sparkles come out of it to tell us that it's been deactivated, and Winston's ouroboros in his hands fade. Winston turns back to the group, actually quite angry now. He raises the swords and prepares to strike, but an arrow comes out of nowhere and cuts a sword in half. Winston looks up at the sparking hilt, and looks angry again. He looks at Delphia, bow in hand. Winston, enraged, lifts up his remaining sword, which collects a sphere of corrupted red energy, and then blasts it outwards like a shockwave. It has the same patterns as PK Love, but in red because it's an evil version (and no, it's not called PK Hate. Winston doesn't have knuckle tattoos here.) This attack is powerful enough to pretty much instant KO everyone, and the whole group is thrown backwards and injured, except Lucas since he was further back. After Winston sees that the group is trying to get back up despite their injuries, Winston starts powering up a second attack.
Lucas
Stop!
Sword still taking in power, Winston turns to Lucas.
Lucas
I… I know who you really are. You're… you're a good kid.
Limping, Lucas takes out the cracking egg of light, glowing in his hand.
Lucas
Please… Winston… Somewhere inside of you is someone I love so dearly. And if Winston isn't here
anymore, then maybe he is…
Winston lowers his sword and prepares to fire it at Lucas.
Lucas
Claus… If you're in there somewhere, please… Wake up. Speak to me. This egg… I don't know how it
works, but it holds memories. And it's still recording them, even now. That means that… somewhere in this egg, the memories of Claus exist. Please. Look at this egg. Open it. Break it. I don't know. I just want you to realize who you are…
Duster
Lucas! Stop!
Kumatora
He's not Claus! He'll kill you!
Harriet (trying to push herself up)
L-Lucas… Winston isn't…
Lucas
Please…
A panel of Winston just staring at Lucas. And then he fires off corrupted PK Love almost point blank at Lucas, blasting him back. Lucas drops the egg, and it rolls over to Harriet. She looks at it deeply. Winston turns his attention to her group again, even as Lucas barely manages to get up and starts walking towards Winston once more.
Duster
Lucas, stay down!
Kumatora (verge of tears)
Damn it Lucas, if you take another hit like that, you'll…
Duster
Please, Lucas! Think of your father! If he loses you, what does he have left?
Lucas (bleeding from mouth)
Winston… Claus…
Harriet manages to stand up, taking the egg in her hands. Winston looks up at her, sword gathering energy. But Harriet just looks at the egg, and then over to Lucas.
Harriet
Lucas. I know how much Claus meant to you, but Winston is… he's our brother now. I think only we can
wake him up…
Lucas
…
Harriet looks down at Winston.
Harriet
Little Winny…
Lucas
You have to… open the egg somehow… Free the trapped memories inside of it. I don't know what
else to do.
Harriet
But how do you open it?
Lucas
I wish I knew…
Harriet stares at the egg. Fade to white, and then to some black and white flashbacks of Lucas talking about the previous world and the dragon.
Lucas
The dragon—or something else, gave you false memories.

Most people have at least some false memories that the dragon gave you. Maybe even some of them are there for a reason.
For the last panel, Gary speaking to the group.
Gary
In our culture, sound sequences have been used before to open or seal something away.
Harriet opens her eyes and we're back in the present.
Harriet
(That song… That song! The dragon gave me that song!)
Winston swings his sword, but stops suddenly when Harriet starts singing while holding the egg. Winston freezes and listens.
Matt
Harriet… what are you doing?
Sylvester
She's singing that song again…
Delphia
It's beautiful… But what good will a song do?
The following panels can be split up a few times with Winston taking steps back and trying to cover his ears in pain. Mostly, we see a montage with the song lyrics of the people the team have met in their journey. They're all looking up at the sky, worried. These people include Delphia's family, the people at Tazmily including Gullible Guy and Roger's family, Cazula and her Mom surrounded by villagers, Phil and Agnes, Percival from the cave, badly damaged Steemi among the rubble of the tower inside the crater, Harriet's friend who was trying to get autographs from Clad in Rad in a city, the old general shop guy Harriet bought stuff from at the beginning, Will hanging out with Zoe and some friends, and lastly no matter what order the others are in, Matt and Harriet's family. When the song ends, Winston is on his knees covering his ears with the group staring at him. A bright light hits Harriet's face, and she looks down to see the egg cracking rapidly.

What?
Matt
What's happening to it?
The egg cracks open in Harriet's hand, letting out a blinding light that covers everyone in the chamber. After a couple panels, everyone, including Starface and the aliens, find themselves in a swirling white world.

We're being covered in… captured memories.
Lucas walks over to Winston. Winston looks up at him. The two just stare for the moment.
Delphia
I… I see it. I see parts of what must've been my past life. Before… before the dragon gave me life
again. Oh my… this is incredible. I was a painter. In something called a renaissance.
Matt
I was a writer. I wrote fantasy stories. I even had a wife and kids…
Harriet
I was a famous singer. I can't believe it… Lucas's story was right… We all were alive once already.
Isa
Oh, Gerenthol! You'll never believe what I was! I was a commander of the might Teletheran battle fleet! And the life before that, I was a governor, and the one before that… Oh, this is so fascinating! But I'm rambling, aren't I? What were you?
Gary
I'd rather not say.
Isa
Please tell me! I am too curious! And we don't know if we'll remember any of this in a few moments!
Gary
I was… a…
Gary stares at jubilant Isa. He crosses his arms grudgingly.
Gary
I was a puntlar beetle.
Isa
An insect used in stews? Hm… I do see the resemblance.
Gary
Would you like being mind probed for a bit, Isa'liolus?
Sylvester
So… before Porky brainwashed me and kidnapped me… I lived in 1940's Fourside… Y-yes… I was
listening to my favorite radio program when Porky took me—and Agnes from my apartment… Ha,
Agnes and I were together even then! Our love is our destiny!
Everyone turns their gazes to Lucas and Winston. Lucas is on his knees, his hands on Winston's shoulders. Kumatora and Duster are right behind him.
Lucas
Do… do you remember yet?
Winston's eyes are still glazed over.
Lucas
Claus, Winston—one of you, wake up! Please!
Winston's eyes return to normal, but with a sad expression.
Winston
Luc… Lucas?
Lucas
Yes?
Winston
Lucas… I think… I think this is me… I think you're talking to me, Claus… Although, I don't see how
it's possible…
Lucas
C-Claus?
Winston (looking at his hands)
Look at me… I'm alive…
Lucas (tearing up)
Claus…
Winston
Oh, Lucas. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry for what I did. I'm sorry for running off like that and putting you and
Dad in so much pain…
Lucas (trembling smile)
You already apologized for all of that, Claus…
Winston
That's right. I did. Well… I guess I'm just glad that we get to see each other again.
Lucas
How is it that I'm speaking to you like this? Where's Winston?
Winston
I seem to be a distant memory of Claus, tucked away in the deepest parts of Winston's mind… But
Winston—the boy I am now—isn't here anymore. His mind has been locked away like mine was. Maybe that's why I'm here instead? I don't know. It's all so… confusing to me.
Lucas
Claus… I… I've been looking for you for so long… You and Mom both. I've just had this feeling… ever
since our new world was created, that you two were a part of it… But I didn't know how to find you.
Even if you were both alive, you'd be in two unfamiliar people. I had little hope of speaking to you
again… like we are now.
Winston
I remember. I remember everything. So you've been searching for Mom, too?
Lucas
Yes… I have.
Winston (looks to ground)
Mom didn't come with me.
Lucas
What?
Winston looks at the white world to the right, and then creates some images. The first one is of the scene at the final needle from above.
Winston
That's where… I died.
We then see Claus, surrounded by white, looking around scared and lost.
Winston
I felt very light at that moment. And then I woke up in a world kind of like this one—one that was completely white. I didn't know where I was. But then I started to feel warm… and happy. And then…
Hinawa's arm reaches out. Claus takes it, and then we see Claus hugging Hinawa.
Hinawa
Hello, my little one…
Claus
Mom…
Hinawa (stroking his head)
You've had such a long, tiring journey. But you're with me now. You don't have to be afraid anymore.
Claus
But what about Dad? And Lucas?
Hinawa
I miss them so much, Claus.
Claus
I just left them behind… They must be… so sad.
Hinawa
Yes. But one day, we'll all be together again. You see? I'm still here. I haven't disappeared. Mother
Earth takes care of her children. But Claus… your brother is about to do something incredible. Something miraculous is about to happen.
Claus
What? What do you mean?
Hinawa
He's about to begin a new world.
We see Lucas pulling the final needle. Back in the afterlife world, a massive shape resembling a dragon appears for a panel before fading away. A huge, colorful shockwave bursts out and a golden light appears on the horizon. Hinawa's hair blows towards it, showing that it's sucking things in.
Claus
What's happening, Mom?
Hinawa
The world is being reborn… And maybe the dragon needs people to fill it…
Hinawa gets down on her knees and holds Claus by the shoulders.
Hinawa
Claus, my son, I want you to do something.
Claus
What do you want me to do?
Hinawa
I want you to go. I want you to live a new life in the world your brother has helped create.
Claus
But… Are you coming, too? How will I find you?
Hinawa
I'm going to stay here.
Claus
Then I don't want to go, Mom! Please! I want to stay with you!
Hinawa
Sweetheart, listen to me… I want you to live a happy, full life. The one you've always deserved.
I want you to be a part of Lucas's world.
Claus (crying)
Come with me, Mom! Please…
Hinawa (hugs him)
I'll be right here. Waiting for our family to be together again. And until then, I'll watch over you, and your
brother, and your father, and even Boney…
Claus
But Mom…
Hinawa
Go now, Claus. This is your chance to have a happy life. I'm sure you'll be part of a family that loves
you. And I'll watch over you… I'll protect you. And one day, we'll meet again.
Claus lets go, looks at his mom for another panel, then turns around and walks towards the golden light in the distance. The memory starts to fade, washing out Hinawa.
Lucas (crying)
Mom…
Winston looks back at Lucas.
Lucas (reaching out)
Mom!
She looks at Lucas and smiles.
Hinawa
Be happy for me, Lucas.
She disappears.
Winston
Winston loves his family… And I want to help free Winston. I want to become him again.
He looks over at Matt and Harriet.
Winston
That's my brother and sister, Lucas. Look how far they've come for Winston…
He looks back at Lucas.
Winston
But you're my brother, too. And I'm glad that we got to see each other again.
Lucas hugs Winston tightly and cries. Winston becomes Claus for this panel (metaphorical).
Winston
I'm going to try and free Winston from the thing trying to take him away now. And after I do that, I'll
become him again.
Lucas lets go.
Lucas
I understand, Claus… Winston…
Winston
This world of memories is going to vanish soon. The egg's power is spent. Maybe this was its purpose
all along.
Starface
The egg was more than just a memory storage device. It was able to touch the memory of the
universe itself, showing each of you all that has happened in the past… Even reaching back to past
lives… It… It reveals the memory of the soul itself…
To think that such a thing had been built by human hands. This was not expected or foreseen. By definition… that makes the egg a breaker of fate.
The world is beginning to dissolve now, and parts of the chamber can be seen again.
Matt
Does that mean that everything that you foresaw before has changed?
Starface
Yes…
Lucas is standing again.
Winston
I'm going to give Winston back to his family now.
Lucas… that dragon had to stop recreating the world when it sensed something that it could not
remove. I know now that it's because of what's in that capsule.
Seal it away so the dragon can complete this world! It's awake, Lucas! It's just waiting to finish what it began! It needs your help!
And Lucas… Thank you. I know we'll see each other again. But for now… this is goodbye.
Goodbye, Brother…
The world dissolves. The egg is on the ground, a hollow glass shell. All eyes turn to Winston. A panel later, the evil force that had entered him is suddenly pushed out and scatters into the air. Winston's eyes return to normal, and he falls to the ground—being caught by Lucas. He sets him down gently as Matt and Harriet run over.
Harriet
Winston!
Matt
Winston, are you back?
Winston looks up tiredly.
Winston
Hey… Harriet and Matty…
The three have a group hug.
Winston
I'm sorry for all the trouble I've caused…
Hug ends.
Winston
I don't know why, but… I just suddenly woke up. I had been trying for so long, and then I just suddenly
did. But I'm still so tired…
Winston looks up at Lucas.
Winston
Oh, hi. Who are you?
Lucas
I'm… a friend of Harriet and Matt's.
Winston
Nice to… meet you…
Winston passes out.
Lucas
He'll be okay. He's just exhausted. I'll watch over him.
Lucas, carrying Winston, returns to Kumatora and Duster. The others regroup and look at the capsule.
Sylvester
While I will never be able to forget such a scene… I still realize the task at hand. Just what are we going to do about this monstrosity?
Matt
I think Starface is right. We can't defeat this power.
Gary
Then the only option is to seal it with a layer of hardened PSI. Permanently.
Isa
Fortunately, we specialize in such containment techniques.
Gary
And if it means your world will be completed and we can go home, then we're going to work together
to do just that.
Starface
Yes. Everything has been set right.
They look at Starface.
Starface
All is as it should be. I believe in you. Your people have had a story like none other I have observed.
And as for me… I can finally rest… Rest again at last…
Starface disappears.
Matt
If Starface left, does that mean the universe is… safe?
Harriet
It has to be.
Gary
Not until we seal this capsule. Isa'liolus, now!
They get on either side of the capsule and put a containment field around it.
Delphia
Did that… do it? Is that it?
There's a rumbling. The containment field turns red, and then shatters. Dozens of evil strands burst out, infecting the ground and the walls and turning everything red.
Evil
No! So close! So very close! I will be free! I must be free! Freedom! Freeeeedom!
The room melts into a twisted Giygas-like dimension. Everyone looks quite terrified.
Evil
All is mine! All belongs to me! Grah… Grah! Graaaaah!
Matt
W-what's happening?!
Sylvester
It's pouring out!
The evil force lets out a shockwave from its dimension. The shockwave grows and expands quickly, completely taking over the ghost city and turning into a world of white and lines with minimal shadow. Out in Tazmily, the shockwave spreads out from the chamber, freezing everyone in place. (Showing frozen birds would get this idea across). The shockwave spreads across the world, and we see most of the same people from Harriet's song frozen in time. Also one or two looks from high above as the entire triangle that forms the world is covered in white. Back in the chamber…
Isa
Something has happened to the rest of this world!
Gary
I can't sense anything outside of this place.
Evil
I am Giegue… Giygas… Porky… And I am… So… Happy…
Porgiygas flows out of the capsule some more, sprouting tentacles that go through the spot where the door was. Up at Tazmilly, where people are still frozen, the tentacles come out of the chamber entrance and start wrapping themselves around the houses, ground, and then people themselves, suffocating them and absorbing energy. Back in the chamber, the capsule is now covered in a glob of goo that is radiating bright reds. Gary and Isa are back on their feet and trying to approach it.
Gary
We must… seal it…
Porgiygas
Feasting… power… life! So hungry… HUNGRY! MORE! Now… vanish…
The capsule causes the surrounding energy to swirl into it. It darkens and turns into a solid black, and then fires off a triple dreadwave of darkness. Everyone watches as the aliens are blown away first. Harriet and Matt watch terrified for a panel, and then Harriet steps in front of Matt and puts a shield up, only to be blasted away by the shockwave. Lucas covers Winston as the wave hits his group. Everything goes dark.

Above, the tentacles in Tazmily get bigger and grow ten fold in number. They spread across the entire world, wrapping around everyone we've met and more.

This darkness… mine… Happy. Feast. Hunger. More. MORE!
An all black panel again, with Porgiygas's voice over it. We're in someone's eye as it opens, blurred at first, then focusing on the evil force. Show that it's Matt, just barely living. He coughs with one eye still closed and tries to push himself up with his arms, but collapses again.
Matt
Everyone… is…
He looks over at Harriet.
Matt
She… stepped in front of me… Harriet…
Matt manages to get on his knees, and then puts his glasses back on. He tries casting healing, but it's too weak and only sparkles come out. He tries a second time.
Matt
Come on… please…
Voice
Matty… need some help?
Matt turns around to see Winston, standing but still tired.
Winston
Here… let's do it together.
Winston puts up his hands, and the two concentrate.
Winston
I'm so worn out, Matty… But maybe I have just enough energy to…
The two cast a huge Healing spell that covers everyone. After they begin to stir, Winston collapses into Matt's arms.
Matt
Winston… thank you.
Matt gets Winston behind him and lowers him to the ground. His team and the aliens are all up on their feet now, looking quite determined.
Matt
This is it… We have to end this… For everyone.
Matt casts Life Up omega on everyone, and then offense and defense up. The capsule has turned into a giant red and black evil eye by this point, and looks over the group.
Porgiygas
No… NO! Stay gone…
Harriet looks down at Winston, and then back to her group.
Harriet
We can't let it knock us down again.
Gary
You keep it busy. We'll try to seal it!
Isa
We need something stronger! We'll try channeling your planet's own PSI energy!
Delphia
But isn't it toxic to you? What if it kills you?!
Gary
No choice! We're the only ones with advanced enough minds to do this!
Porgiygas
Be ridden! Leave me alone! GO AWAY!
Tentacles come out of the ground and form into clones of… Ninten, Ana, Loid, and Teddy.
Matt
Who are they? More memories?
Harriet
Just like Starface…
During this battle, Porgiygas can say random things in the background to show his madness.
The assault and final fight. This should last about 20-26 pages, making it the longest fight in the story. And I'm going to fully write it out. Ninten attacks Matt with the bat. Loid fires off a dozen bottle rockets that Matt puts up a shield to protect everyone against, even as he's fending off Ninten. Ana has a PSI fight with Harriet and Delphia, with Delphia countering a Freeze with a Fire, generating steam, and Harriet tries PK Love on Ana, blasting her backwards. She then casts PK Beam at Harriet, who puts up a shield, only to have it shattered. The beam is slowed enough for Harriet to dodge out of the way. Sylvester and Teddy are fighting one another with hammer and sword, and Sylvester suddenly uses his free hand to punch Teddy in the face. Teddy reels back. Sylvester then comes over and yanks Ninten off of Matt, and then tosses him into Loid, who had just fired a rocket that now goes out of control. It spins towards Matt, who hits with his tripod and sends it off course, and it explodes somewhere above them. Delphia casts Tornado on Ana, who had just casted a huge fire ball. The tornado absorbs the fire and turns into an inferno. Loid fires another rocket, which Ninten powers up with his psychic powers and causes it to glow. The rocket is about to hit Sylvester, but then Harriet casts PK Shock on Ninten, causing his brain to be fried, and he loses control of the rocket. It instead goes into the fire tornado and explodes violently, covering Ninten, Loid, and Ana. Sylvester then finishes off Teddy by swinging his hammer down straight through his body, causing him to separate into two evil tentacles that return to the ground. With the first wave defeated, Porgiygas shudders, and his large eye's pupil narrows to show the pain.

Now!
The two aliens channel their energy into forcefields and cover the capsule thinly, but it breaks free just a panel later and spawns more clones—this time of Ness and his team.
Isa
It wasn't… strong enough.
Ness casts PK Rockin' and hurts the entire team, but they stand through the pain, and Delphia launches a PK Ground assault that causes Ness' team to lose their footing and drop to the ground. Sylvester comes over and swings his hammer at a wide angle at Ness, but Ness blocks it with his bat, and then blasts Sylvester away with a short range Rockin' attack. At some point, Ness tries to slam his bat hard into Matt, but Matt takes out the flash unit and blinds him. Paula casts PK Magnet on the group, and follows with a Fire attack. Delphia creates a wall of ice to block the attack, but Jeff fires a ray gun to blow holes in the ice, as the ice melts, Poo casts Thunder to electrify it. But the entire group suddenly jumps out of the steam and attacks the clones. Poo casts starstorm, but is blinded in the face by Harriet, causing the stars to rain down in random directions and decimate parts of the chamber. A star actually smashes into Ness, defeating him. Delphia shoots an arrow through Paula, turning her back into a tentacle that returns to the ground. Jeff fires the ray gun at Matt, but he dodges at the last moment and is only nicked on the shoulder, although it rips through his clothes at that spot. Matt bashes Jeff with his tripod, knocking his glasses off. Sylvester hits Poo hard in the chest with his hammer, tossing him into Jeff. After they impact, the clones disappear again. Porgiygas feels the pain and trembles violently. The aliens put up another barrier, dual layered this time. For a few moments, it seems to hold.

Is it… working?
Matt
I wonder who all these people are…
Delphia
Maybe people this thing's met before?
Sylvester
It sounds like it's a combination of things now.
Porgiygas breaks free again, and creates Lucas, Claus, Kumatora, and Duster. Claus is in the masked man outfit minus the helmet. He fires a beam from his gun that Matt and Delphia shield the team from. We then see the real Lucas, standing up with mystic stick in hand.
Lucas
No…
Lucas runs forward.
Lucas
You take him from me… You turn him into a monster… Then you made me kill him!
Lucas is angry, gripping the stick tightly now.
Lucas
You are not imitating my brother! He doesn't belong to you! He never did!
Lucas throws the mystic stick so hard, it goes straight Claus and pins him into the eye. He turns into a tentacle, and the mystic stick falls back to the ground. The real Kumatora and Duster run up to the group.
Kumatora
That doesn't look a thing like me!
Duster
You call that ugly thing my clone?
Clone Kuma casts PK Ground on the group, and they fall to their knees but are mostly unhurt. Real Lucas casts Refresh on everyone while Kumatora launches her pretty starstorm at her clone, destroying it after a couple of hits. Duster wraps his clone, which has donned the scary mask, up with Rope Snake. He pulls back on Rope Snake to bring clone Duster over, and then grabs the clone and breaks him over his knee like a piece of wood. The Lucas clone is then defeated by a massive PK Flash from real Lucas. Desperate, Porgiygas instantly generates an entire batch of new clones, including Tracy, Picky, Kang, Lardna, Aloysius, Lydia, Mom, Dad, Shigo, Harriet, Matt, Winston, Cazula, the Cerberus, the Chimera, and even the spider mech. There's even some scientists from Giegue's race that we sort of saw during the Giegue story. All just gathered together with melting faces—showing that they're poorly made.
Porgiygas
I… I was created… L-love… was not supposed to have… Poisoned me… That song… That SONG!
But… returned… used… slave… Now I am slave… We are one… We will be FREE… All is OURS!
Matt
I think it's getting desperate!
Upon seeing this, Harriet is angry. Still looking ahead and just doing it as his side like a professional, Matt casts Offense Up on Harriet's twirlers, causing them to grow brightly. She then starts slicing her family member clones in half while interjecting parts of dialogue.
Harriet
I've—had—enough—of—this!
The family clones disappear. Harriet casts a huge PK Magnet over the remaining clones, resupplying her team with PSI.
Harriet
Gary! Isa! Get out of there!
They retreat to the sides. Harriet bends down a bit and wells up incredible power.
Harriet
Leave our world alone!!!
She casts the largest PK Songbird ever seen and maintains it. Matt uses PK Love.
Lucas
Everyone!
Lucas and Kumatora join with PK Love and Starstorm. Delphia finally joins in with Starstorm, creating quite a mess of PSI that is burning away the darkness and ripping the clones to shreds. The twisted dimension surrounding the group starts to recede except for the floor. Before Porgiygas is completely defeated, Harriet drops to her knees, exhausted. Everyone else who used PSI follow after a couple of panels. But Duster and Sylvester act quickly before Porgiygas can recover. Sylvester runs over, large hammer over his shoulders and shouting into the air. Tentacles come out and try to grab him, but Duster chucks wall staples that cut a few in half. A large wave of dark and red goo comes up like a barrier as a last ditch defense, but Duster throws two staples into the barrier, which Sylvester hops on top of. Sylvester leaps on top of the capsule-eye, keeping his legs bent to stay on top at an angle, and then swings down the hammer right into the pupil. The eye breaks a bit, but doesn't shatter yet. It blasts out another dark wave and Sylvester falls off, but he stands forward and braces himself through the wave. Harriet, Matt, and Delphia come over. Harriet and Matt use the last of their energy to blast a small PK Love, point blank at the eye. Delphia sticks an arrow into the pupil, and then Sylvester hits it hard with his hammer. Finally, after all this, the eye shatters like glass, revealing the capsule underneath. The aliens rush over as the team backs off. They channel all of their energy and create a three layered forcefield. Its glow diminishes, and suddenly, all goes quiet. The rest of the red and black in the chamber evaporates, but the smoke it dissolves into makes the heroes cough and lose consciousness.

No! Nooooo! Don't leave me all alone! Don't trap me! Let me out! (text shrinks) Out… let me free…
freedom… I was… almost… Help… me… Maria… Mother…
Close up on Matt, on the ground and barely conscious. With his eyes closing, we see from his viewpoint the sealed capsule and the dissolving evil power. Fade to black to end this chapter with the words.
